Short Shorts AI is the only AI clipping tool that auto-publishes to X/Twitter — with burned-in thumbnails, platform-optimised captions, and prime-time scheduling. One video, two platforms, zero extra work.
Process a video once and Short Shorts AI publishes to both YouTube Shorts and X simultaneously — with platform-specific formatting for each.
Use cases
What you get
X has no custom thumbnail API, so we burn your AI-generated thumbnail as a 1-second opening frame. X displays it in the feed — giving every clip a compelling visual hook before anyone presses play.
X posts have different norms from YouTube descriptions. The AI generates punchy, conversational captions — under 280 characters when possible — that fit the X voice and drive engagement.
Set separate prime times for X (9am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm by default) independent of YouTube. Clips post at peak engagement hours for each platform.
X uses rotating refresh tokens — every new token replaces the old one. We automatically capture and store the new token after every refresh, so your connection never breaks silently.
Process once, publish everywhere. No separate X workflow, no copy-pasting, no reformatting. One submission, two platforms, automatically handled.
See the status of every X post in the upload queue — scheduled, uploading, or live — with a direct link to the post on X once it's published.
How it works
Connect your X account via OAuth 2.0 PKCE. X issues rotating refresh tokens — our system captures and writes back the new token after every use, ensuring your connection stays live across weeks and months.
FFmpeg renders the AI thumbnail as a 1-second still frame at the start of the video. X picks up the first frame as the feed thumbnail — making your clip visually compelling before anyone taps play.
The video is uploaded in chunks via the X v1.1 media upload API, then posted via the v2 tweets API with your AI-generated caption at the scheduled prime-time slot. A direct link to the post is stored for the dashboard.
Flexible workflow
Auto-post every clip to X, or cherry-pick which ones go where.
Every processed clip automatically gets queued for both YouTube Shorts and X.
Decide clip-by-clip which content goes to X and customise the post caption.
